Aloha!

It’s officially summer now, right?
And boy do I ever know how to kick off a summer break! I started off hard core, by:
NO–NOT going to the beach. NO–NOT sleeping in. NO–NOT going shopping, getting a massage or anything else a smart homeschooling mom of four would do when she finally gets to be on summer break.
Instead, I kicked off summer break by getting up the guts (patience…) to call Apple Care to get help with some technical difficulties we have been having with our computers. (2 of them.) I won’t even begin to get into it (you would want to slap me after five seconds of trying to explain…just ask Dave, hehe.) but the problems were mostly with iphoto. The issues were a combination of legitimate software/computer problems, and um…well…err…kinda…sorta…
Me.
(But what good is blaming, right?)
What I’m wanting to tell you is that I have spent over six hours (SIX HOURS!!!) on the phone with these Applecare folks in the last two days. 6. That’s a whole lotta time for a woman who may be known to bargain with her husband for one free hour to sit alone and stare at a wall. Six hours is like a year. Or at least a very long nap. I certainly could think of a lot of other things I would like to do for six. straight. hours.
But, the good news is, I’ve made progress! We solved some serious problems, and removed some obstacles. I see the light. I’m not done, but I’m getting there. And more importantly, I’m learning SO much.
Now I have my work cut out for me. I have been investing my time just cleaning things up on our computers. Getting organized. Filing. Trashing (that’s scary!) and in general trying to get some control of things. ***By the way–side note: Have I ever told you that Dave brought home our first ever MAC computer and switched us over from PC to MAC the VERY DAY I came home from the hospital with my fourth child? I just feel like you should know that. Thank you for being there for me.
Back to the story: Since I put my kids to bed tonight, I have officially gone over 77,000 old photos. Yikes. Needless to say, I’ve been on a big trip down memory lane!
So, I’ll let you take a guess at what I have for you! That’s right. I can’t resist: I’ve got to show you just a few of my ALL TIME FAVORITE PHOTOS from the past. (These are all “B.L” ”Before Levi.”) Hope they make you smile a bit. They make me smile a WHOLE LOT!

**Hey, it’s Dave…on a wave!

Now tell me if this isn’t the most lovable little creature you have ever seen?

Oh, there’s more, but I’m cutting myself off, before I get even more carried away.
Thanks for playing!
Now, once I’ve cleaned out my junk drawer, organized my walk-in closet, and rearranged the pantry, I’ll be ready to really play. (Sometimes I don’t like being me.)
Please tell me: Are you tackling some projects this summer, or just going for it and playing the days away!? (If you even get a break this summer.) If you have them, what are some of your summer projects!?
Aloha, and see ya soon!

How much does Levi look like Luke!!!!!!
Funny stuff. Nice wave Dave! And I can’t believe you’ve got to go through 77,000 photos! That’s crazy!

I was starting to wonder if Dave actually surfed…lol. Now I have visual evidence….great photos Mon. I think I remember the boys about that age in the first one.
Summer projects…not too many just trying to keep from having a heat stroke while playing golf here in Phoenix..lol.Only supposed to be about 112 today.
i may or may not be jealous of your awesome, beautiful life! : ) your fam is just gorgeos as is your surroundings. we honeymooned on maui and would die to go back!
I do have some plans for some closet purging. as well as potentially other places (like the entire craft room). Mostly cause the plan is to have my friend Tara help me and since she is a teacher I gotta do it when she has breaks.
What a wonderful boys! I am very pleased with these photos. Thank you…You really make me smile.
Redecorating the house is my number one project this summer and organizing all closets… again. Running is my other project… and so far, it’s going ok! Well, I would say walk/jogging versus running
