Barefoot Yoga–OmGirl ‘Paradise’ Skirt Review {and Giveaway!}

I think you know by now that I am a big fan of Barefoot Yoga! These guys sell the kind of clothes that I love to live in:  Super cute, and especially comfortable!

So, I was super excited when Barefoot Yoga sent me an Om Girl ‘Paradise’ Skirt to review!  This is the kind of skirt that you can wear in SO many ways–dressed up, or casual!  The very day it arrived I had a charity event to go to at a ranch just up the hill from our home.  The dress code was “ranch-elegant,”  so I knew I had the perfect thing to wear!  I put the skirt on with some boots, and touch of bling, and I felt very RANCH ELEGANT!

Then I knew I had to put the skirt on to take some photos for this post.  And I’ll just stop for a moment to say how much respect I have for those ‘style bloggers’ who do this all of the time!  It is NOT as easy as it looks!!  The whole modeling thing is SO outside of my comfort zone, that it actually took me three tries to even come up with something I was willing to share here.  Trust me–it wasn’t the skirt’s fault!  The problem was either me, (being a dork,)  or a certain two-year old clinging to my skirt while I took pictures.  Oh yeah, the dogs were trying to get in on the action as well!  I was so over it, I was about to just take a picture of the skirt on a hanger to show you!   So, please give me some grace for the big reveal…

I absolutely love this skirt.  It is made of 100% cotton gauze, and it is incredibly comfortable, and versatile!
A few more notes:  I wanted to give it a bit of a “fall look” for the season by wearing it with my favorite new Tom’s boots.  The truth is that it is super cute with sandals as well, and that is probably how I will wear it most of the time.

Another note:  I don’t usually tuck things in.  I wasn’t sure if this was a style “Do” or “Don’t,”  but I wanted to show the draw-string top of this skirt so I just decided to tuck.

And to give you an even better idea of what the skirt looks like (on a real mode!), here’s a picture of it in the light pink from the Barefoot Yoga site:

Cute, right!?  It is pretty sheer from the first seam down, but mine doesn’t seem as sheer as this one looks. (maybe it’s the lighting?)

I hope you’ll check out this skirt, plus all of the other cute items at BarefootYoga.com.
NOW SOMETHING FOR YOU, TOO!

The nice people at Barefoot Yoga tucked another little treat in the box with my skirt…IT is a SILK Sari EYE PILLOW!

Oh my goodness–have you ever tried one of these?  The day it arrived, I had a killer headache.  So, as soon as I opened the box, I literally laid right down and put the eye pillow over my eyes.  Needless to say, I fell into a deep sleep–even with a house full of boys running around me!   It was awesome.   It is filled with flax seeds and dried lavender, shaped to contour to your face and also adding gentle pressure, and blocking out light.  These aromatherapy eye pillows are used as mood tonics, headache remedies, and more…every mom needs one of these!

(This also comes with a darling, zippered, travel bag!  Love, love…)

Do you want one?  Well, you can order them at BarefootYoga.com as well.  Or, you can be the lucky person to WIN ONE by commenting here!  Yes, Barefoot Yoga offered to send one of these awesome silk eye pillows to a Grommom reader!

Just comment below, letting us know that you’d love a silk eye pillow, and one other thing about you:  Anything!– Maybe your favorite yoga pose, or what you had for dinner last night, or when it is your birthday (Or anything else you choose.)

I will draw a winner on Thursday night, and announce it Friday morning!  Please come back Friday to claim your win so we can get you the prize!

Big hugs and Aloha to you all,

Grommom

Hello, I am a mommy from the midwest, just found your blog a little while ago and I love reading about your life in paradise! I would love to try out the pillow, As a mom of a 5 month old and a full time RN, I deal with a good amount of stress. I wouldn’t trade it for the world but sometimes this momma could use a good nap!

Thanks for the review I am going to check out their website right now!
